The battery heated rolling press is a precision equipment specially designed for the processing of lithium battery electrode sheets, integrating heating and rolling functions. After the coating process of lithium battery electrode sheets is completed, they need to undergo rolling treatment to further optimize their performance, and the battery heatedrolling machine is precisely the core equipment for achieving this crucial step.
Structurally speaking, the battery heated roller press is mainly composed of five major systems. The rolling system is the core of the equipment, usually composed of one or more pairs of rolls. The material of the rolls directly affects the rolling effect. For example, alloy steel rolls have strong wear resistance and high strength, and are suitable for the rolling of conventional electrode sheets. Ceramic rolls, with their excellent corrosion resistance and surface finish, perform outstandingly when processing electrode plates with extremely high surface quality requirements. The heating system is the key that distinguishes it from ordinary roller presses. Common heating methods include electric heating, oil heating and steam heating. Electric heating features rapid temperature rise and precise temperature control, and can quickly respond to changes in process parameters. Although steam heating has a relatively low cost, its temperature control is relatively complex and it is still applied in large-scale manufacturing enterprises. The transmission system drives the rolls to rotate at a constant speed through components such as motors and reducers, ensuring that the electrode sheets are subjected to uniform force during the rolling process. As the "brain" of the equipment, the control system uses sensors to monitor key parameters such as roller pressure, temperature and speed in real time, and automatically adjusts according to the preset process to ensure the stability of the production process. Production scale: For large-scale production enterprises with an annual output of over 10 million pieces, large-scale equipment with a roll width of more than 800mm and high-speed continuous production capabilities should be selected. Enterprises with lower annual output can choose medium and small-sized equipment with a rolling width of 300-600mm to avoid resource waste caused by overcapacity.
Electrode sheet specification: Select the appropriate equipment based on the size and thickness of the electrode sheet. Large-sized electrode plates (with a length exceeding 1m and a width exceeding 600mm) have higher requirements for the load-bearing capacity of the equipment's roller pressing platform and transmission system. In production scenarios where the thickness of the electrode sheets varies greatly, the equipment needs to have a wide range of pressure regulation capabilities to achieve precise compaction of electrode sheets of different thicknesses.
Electrode sheet material: The requirements for roller pressing conditions of electrode sheets made of different materials vary significantly. The conventional rolling conditions for graphite anode materials can meet the requirements. However, due to the large expansion coefficient of silicon-carbon anode materials, ceramic rollers should be selected, and the pressure should be controlled at 2-4 mpa and the temperature maintained at 100-150 ℃. At the same time, the equipment is required to have higher temperature and pressure control accuracy to prevent the electrode sheet from cracking or powder dropping.
Production process: The lamination process has extremely high requirements for the flatness of the electrode sheet. It is necessary to select equipment equipped with a high-precision roller pressing system and an automatic deviation correction device. The winding process places more emphasis on production speed and stability. A heated roller press with automatic tension control function is a better choice, which can effectively prevent the electrode sheet from wrinkling or breaking during the winding process.
(2) Focus on equipment performance
Rolling pressure range: The pressure range of conventional equipment is 1-10 mpa, and some high-end equipment can reach 15MPa to meet the production requirements of high-pressure solid-density electrode sheets. Enterprises can evaluate the stability and accuracy of pressure output by referring to the pressure test curve in the equipment manual.
Temperature control accuracy: For temperature-sensitive materials, a temperature control accuracy of ±1℃ is a basic requirement. The supplier can be requested to provide a temperature uniformity test report to check the temperature differences at different positions on the surface of the rolls. The smaller the differences, the better the temperature control performance.
Rolling speed: Under the premise of ensuring the rolling quality, the rolling speed directly affects the production efficiency. However, it should be noted that excessive speed may lead to uneven compaction of the electrode sheets. It is recommended to observe the roller pressing effect of the electrode sheets under high-speed operation through the supplier's trial machine video or on-site inspection.
